A
typical beginner lesson begins with "basics on the beach"
|

Beginning lessons include the specifics of rigging a sail,
wind direction, balance, the basics of sail control (up and down
wind), and tacking (turning).
For
intermediate sailors, short-board techniques such as increasing
your speed, water starting, sail trim and tuning, and how to improve
your jibe are available.
Advanced
sailing clinics include how to jump and a repertoire of various
jibes including planing jibes, lay-down jibes, and duck jibes just
to name a few.
Lessons are $60.00 per hour with a minimum
of 4 hour instruction for beginners.
Intermediate
and advanced sailing rates are $60.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.

Lessons
are by appointment only and one-on-one for the most beneficial learning
experience. Group lessons are also available.
Weekday afternoons
are preferable to avoid the weekend crowds. Afternoons are best for taking
advantage of the westerly sea breezes, which are perfect for learning.
For beginning lessons
we recommend you arrive at your lesson with the following:

 |

flotation device/
life preserver (PFD) |

 |
A

and shade your face |
All other
